Whole Body Cryotherapy

How It Works

Whole Body Cryotherapy is a process of cooling the skin to about 32 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 2-3minutes. This is done by surrounding the body with air at temperatures varying anywhere from negative -200 to -240F.

Cryotherapy tricks the body into “fight or flight mode” which forgoes thermoregulation triggering the release of epinephrine, endorphins and anti-inflammatory proteins.

The body is not actually in hypothermia—but the brain thinks that it is so blood rushes to the core, increasing metabolism and energy.
